John Lowe Driving is a successful and well established family run driving school in Gloucester looking for driving instructors to join our team and enjoy the success of our very busy school.
Our success is largely based on reputation and word of mouth recommendations, but we are also always prominent on Google page 1, facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Blogger. We have all areas covered, generating a very high demand for driving lessons.
We are looking for manual or automatic qualified driving instructors to work for us on a franchise basis. You will need to be reliable, trustworthy and professional with a strong work ethic and a suitable dual controlled car to teach in.
The benefits of joining John Lowe Driving:
You are self-employed and not tied into a contract.
You tell us which days/hours and areas you want to work and we will recruit the new students, taking care of the complete booking for you.
You will work for a well-established and respected driving school.
Franchise fee is based on how many lessons you teach each week NOT a flat rate fee, so that if you are ill, on holiday, or off the road for any reason, there is nothing to pay.
You will join a team of experienced driving instructors.

Driving Instructor Profile – Sara Povey.
We are delighted to have recruited Sara Povey, another top driving instructor to John Lowe Driving, who is proving to be a great asset to our driving school.
Sara lives in the Forest of Dean, but covers Gloucester and all of our local areas as well, but she enables us to offer driving lessons more easily in the Forest.
So if you’re from around Cinderford, Coleford or Lydney, we can offer you quality driving lessons.
Sara has given us a personal profile, describing her aims and style, so here it is in her own words:
“Hello, I’m Sara. To try to describe my style of instruction, I would say that working with my student is the aim, discovering who you are and how we both can work together to reach your goal of becoming a great, safe driver! Where there are challenges, we can work together to get through them.
My love of driving stems from being entertained by a weekly visit to Wimbledon car racing stadium, where the aim of the banger racing is to smash into one another, but that’s entertainment!
Out on the public roads, things are very different, and I love to be part of making the roads available to all kinds of drivers. To experience a relaxed and safe drive is the goal and each driver on our roads can make that happen purely by choosing to drive well and considerately. So, let’s make that happen!
A little about me……as the job of a driving instructor is sedentary, I’m keen to keep fit and alert, so I swim and run each week! This allows me to arrive invigorated and all set to be a positive influence on my students, because I can truly say that I love my job.
I meet lots of really lovely, interesting people and gain reward from their progression.
I’m always happy to talk any subject on top of driving, and always more than happy to take on any challenge…as life is about challenges…”
